CFEC Representative Messaging

Stop receiving representative messages

You can cancel at any time. The fastest way is to reply STOP to any message — that unsubscribes your number immediately. If you would rather not reply by text, use the form below.

Note: this stops one-to-one messages from CFEC employees. It does not stop CFEC Text Alerts, the automated outage and storm alert service sent from 352-493-2511. Those are a separate service with a separate opt-out.

Opt out by form

Enter the mobile number you want removed from CFEC Representative Messaging. We will unsubscribe it and confirm by text.

Other ways to opt out

  • Reply STOP to any message from a CFEC representative. This is immediate and carrier-enforced.
  • Call us at (352) 493-2511 or toll-free (800) 227-1302, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Visit an office in Chiefland, Cross City, or Inglis.

What happens next

You will receive one final text message confirming that you have been unsubscribed. After that, no further representative messages will be sent to that number.

This does not unsubscribe you from CFEC Text Alerts (outages, storm alerts, restoration). To stop those, reply STOP to a message from 352-493-2511.

Opting out does not change your electric service, your bill, or any other way we contact you. Notices required by law or by your service agreement will still be delivered by mail, phone, or email.

Changed your mind? You can sign up again at any time.

Reporting an outage

Opting out does not report an outage. To report an outage, call (800) 227-1302, text OUT to 352-493-2511, or use the CFEC Outage Center.

In an emergency, call 911.
